RITUAL BATHING

In ancient times ritual bathing was an important part of daily life of many high cultures, such as the Egyptian, Greek, Roman, South American, and those in the Near and Far East. In Greece, for example, ritual bathing was done in temples, with attendants who specialized in certain phases of the bathing process, and others who specialized in healing, oracular work, and so on. Such attentive care was often carried out by priestesses holding various stations, or degrees, in their priestesscraft.

The art and science of ritual bathing has long since been forgotten in most of Western Culture, which is why we are reintroducing it now to give it a modern context and to bridge the old with the new. As we enter the Age of Aquarius, all water is responding to the increasing frequencies and will play an important role in all healing and human transformation work. Water, as a building block of elemental life, is perfectly positioned between the matter realms and spirit realms, making it ideal for purposes of manifestation.

Your bath is treated with a powerful alchemical preparation, which transforms the water into a medium that is hardly recognizable as water, but more like an etheric life-giving fluid.
Aquarius pours from her vessel a type of cosmic water, and we are presently passing into that high-frequency flow. It's unmistakable when you experience it, the feel of it, its energy, its "aliveness." An attendant is necessary on at several levels: 1) on this physical plane embedded deeply within your psyche is a need to be cared for, pampered, to give you a deep sense that you are royalty, that you are reverenced, and to give you an inner motivation to be reverent unto yourself, which is a first step in understanding the scope and beauty of what you are; 2) on a more subtle plane, to intuit what is necessary specifically for you in the moment, to observe and note the movement of energy, to vocalize messages from the alchemical water, and to see to your comfort, to wash your hair, to pour sacred water from a sacred bowl over your sacred body; and 3) this is a time-honored ritual of exceeding importance at pivotal epochs in our history, and doing so brings forth ALL of the sacred elements and participants of times past - you could say that your bathing chamber will be filled with priestesses from times past, acting within and through your attendant, and within and through the water and the environment itself.
